		<description>Thanks for this post. I completely agree that this is especially important for young students. Piano teachers like us shall teach them the correct positioning at the earliest time possible; otherwise, early, they will have a very hard time trying to back track. So, we&#039;ve got to resolve this issue immediately in case we think we have some students who are in this dilemma. After all, these basics are really important. Again, thanks and more power. 		<description>I use the foot stool for the smaller students.  If their feet don&#039;t reach the floor, they tend to scoot forward on the bench until they do, then their hand possition is all wrong - dropped wrists, &quot;crunched up&quot; elbows.   I have one girl, too big for the stool, who keeps scooting forward, way too close.  So we push the bench WAY back, so she&#039;s sitting at the very front edge. Then if she scoots forward, she falls off!  It&#039;s become a fun joke, but it works!</description>
