Thank you for sharing those inputs that you acquired from the workshop. I am so sure that many piano teachers out there (like me!) benefit from this post. I always feel glad whenever I encounter people who have the same passion and love for music like what I actually have. I also admire your efforts to share your bright ideas on music teaching and learning. I always bear in mind that creativity and fun are necessary in education so as not to bore our students. Please keep on posting contents on some useful piano teaching resources. Thanks again and more power!

I've been able to attend training sessions with Randall Faber twice in the past three years. The session I went to in Houston last year was only attended by about ten other piano teachers (I don't think it was advertised well) and it was amazing to be so up close and personal with half of the team who developed the piano series I teach from! I took several pages of notes and was so impressed with the research and development that has gone into the Piano Adventures series.

I've been to workshops presented by other companies where I felt the only goal was to get me to buy their products. I felt that Mr. Faber was genuinely trying to help the attendees be better music teachers.

Thanks, Rebecca, for sharing that. It's such a simple way to define the different approaches to various age groups. I have students in all groups as well, so I'm going to jot the 3 "I can do it" phrases in the front of my lesson plan binder as a reminder.
