Are you doing anything fun with your lessons this summer? I offered my students 4 choices.
Duet lessons and jazz lessons were the most popular choices. Nobody was interested in improvisation. 2 were interested in composition lessons, but duet lessons won out with those two.
I’m excited to change the pace a little bit. And also to find some new jazz and duet music! Any suggestions?

I love these ideas! especially the duet lessons…if you taught voice too, you could even do accompaniment lessons with a voice and piano student.
You may already know about these collections:
Jazz Rags and Blues for Two by Martha Mier (There are several books)
“Main St. Shuffle” in Treasures for Two – 6 Captivating Duets for Early Intermediate to Intermediate Pianists
“In Recital with Jazz Rags and Blues” published by FJH and edited by Helen Marlais. There are several different levels. It’s primarily a solo book but there is usually a duet at each level.
This is a great piece for 3 students, but it’s a rag.
“Three’s A Crowd Rag” by Joyce Grill
