I had a student “true learning” moment yesterday. My student played a song (in the key of D) from her lesson book perfectly. Then, she told me she had played it in C position for fun during practice time. I was so excited because she has only been taking lessons for 7 months and we have never talked about transposing! I love when students think things through on their own like that. What have your students done that has impressed you?
