A mother just told me her daughter was diagnosed (a long time ago) with a learning disability that affects hand-eye coordination. (I can’t remember the name of the learning disability.) I was glad to know because I have felt that her daughter has been moving a little too slowly for her age. Now at least I know why.
Now my question is: Does anybody have any fabulous tips to help hand-eye coordination? This student particularly has problems when I try to focus on rhythym. I think it’s a bit too much for her. She also forgets names of notes when she is playing but can tell me their names when she is away from the piano. Please help!

I would ask her mother if she has an IEP… individual education plan…for school, and ask permission to read it, and see what kind of accommodations she has for schoolwork – something may jump out at you and give you an idea how to modify what you teach her, so that she has her own milestones for success.
That’s a good idea. Thanks!
